Education Through Nature houses a unique assortment of fascinating insects, arachnids, and other arthropods. After visiting your location, they return to their permanent residence at ETN headquarters. All of the arthropods in ETN's collection are housed in bio-active, museum-quality enclosures that have been custom-designed to replicate their natural habitat and meet their specific behavioral needs.

Science nights with Education Through Nature may include 12 beautiful displays featuring live arthropods, as well as framed preserved specimens, large mounted pictures, live projections, interactive experiences and more!

Preschool program
Mr. Roach is ECE trained and has presented to thousands of preschool students over his 20+ career. He has worked with hundreds of preschools and has a very gentle, loving, and age appropriate approach with his youngest audiences.

This is a "tailless scorpion" though it is not actually a scorpion at all. This fascinating arachnid is in a class all of it's own. Another gentle giant from Africa.
Desert millipedes
Education Through Nature's Awesome Arthropod programs often include a variety of fascinating millipedes. Some of Mr. Roach's favorites include; chocolate millipede, golden millipedes and the giant African millipede.

When a millipede curls up it may be resting or protecting itself from predators. As an expert handler, Mr. Roach can almost always get even the most shy of them to open up!
